Lauren Levy, founder of ELLEVATE Academy & Co-founder of OCSM Sports Performance
Lauren Levy played Division I Beach and Indoor Volleyball for the University of New Orleans. She was a Libero and a part of the 1,000 digs club. While playing Collegiate Volleyball she has coached club and high school volleyball, she has been a volleyball coach for 10 years and counting. She has always had a passion for teaching and developing youth athletes in their volleyball skills.
In high school, she played at Archbishop Chapelle. She was a three year Varsity letterman, 5’5” Outside Hitter earning All District, All Metro and All State honors.
Being a coach at a young age and playing volleyball for 10+ years has shaped her into the coach she is today. One of her main focuses is Sports performance. In her training she breaks down each movement and focuses on specific mechanics to get the athletes stronger and be aware of how to enhance their skills. This is a huge component as to why some athletes suffer from injuries, (not knowing how to move correctly) she spends a lot of time programming injury prevention.
